To feel love is to be love. To be love is to love everything exactly as-it-is. It is not having preferences, because love has no preferences. That is why the Upanishads say, “The husband(/wife/child) is not beloved for the husband’s sake, but for the sake of the Self that dwells within.”
Nothing is beloved for itself, as distinct and separate, but as the outward manifestation of an inward upwelling of a Love flowing from the divinity inherent in each cell and molecule of creation. Nothing is beyond this love.
To open up to the this self-existing, self-maintaining infinite flow of love all we have to do let go the insistence of our own selves being separate and distinct from this love. As there is less of “me” so there is more of That. That Love which is beyond any love we have ever known before.
